“Recruit Honor Race” is dedicated to continue the legacy of military journalist, Major of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine – Oleksii Chubashev (call sign Recruit). Oleksii was an ambassador of Ukraine glorifying sports values, strength, will. Endurance and perseverance. 100% of the registration fee will be directed to the needs of the International Legion (DIU).
The NGO “Run Ukraine” serves as the Race Organiser.

The participants may be admitted to the Competition upon presentation of the documents provided at the time of receipt of the starter pack.
- A starter letter printed out and signed by the participant (the starter letter is available in the participant’s personal profile or in the email box after a successful payment)
- An ID document that confirms the age of a participant (required for all participants)
The 13-year-old participants (for the course 5) and the 15-year-old participants (for the course 10) are also required to present a Parental (legal representative’s) consent for the participation of the minor participant in the races of 5 km and 10 km (Annexes to the Rules of the Competition of the NGO “Run Ukraine”).
All registered participants bear sole responsibility for their health and well-being regarding the competition and confirm it by signing a correspondent statement.
Please, notice!
- A participant will not be given a starter pack and a race bib number if a participant fails to present an ID;
- The age of a participant is determined according to the NGO “Run Ukraine” Competition Rules.
TO THE ATTENTION OF ALL PARTICIPANTS!
In the event of the announcement of an Air raid alert in the city of Kyiv, the Competition will be suspended ( changes in the start schedule are possible). Continuation of the Competition will be announced after the cancellation of the Air Raid Alert (but in any case only during daylight hours).
In the event State Emergency Service issues a warning of possible significant deterioration of weather conditions in the region on the eve of or on the day of the Competition or there is a threat to human life and health due to severe weather phenomena (including but not limited to earthquake, flood, hurricane, hail, cyclone, storm, lightning, other natural disasters), the Competition organiser reserves the right to take measures to ensure the safety of participants, audience, fans and all those who directly or indirectly participate in the Competition.
The Organising Committee has developed an internal safety scale, according to which in case of severe weather phenomena, the Organising Committee will act in accordance with the plan and require all participants to strictly comply with its requirements, namely:
1st level of danger – wind with a force of 7-9 meters per second – dismantling of inflatable arches, light structures (including mileage indicators), light awnings, promo- and photo zones.
2nd level of danger – wind with a force of 9.5-10 meters per second – dismantling of all awnings, photo zones, as well as dismantling of the crossbar of the start-finish arch.
The project manager will ask to remove anything that may be dangerous. High probability of kids’ races cancellation.
The decision to hold or cancel them will be made immediately before the start of the kids’ races based on the actual weather conditions at that time.
3rd level of danger – wind with a force of 11 meters per second and more – a collegial decision to hold or cancel the Competition will be made.
The committee in charge of making this decision consists of Tretiakov Ivan, Project Manager, a representative of the SES in the region and Chief Referee of the Competition.
In case of the Air Raid Alert in Kyiv, the Competition is stopped. The Competition will be resumed once the Air raid alert is lifted (but in any case during the daylight hours).
Taking into account that the Competition is held during the martial law period throughout the territory of Ukraine, in the event of the announcement of the signal “Air raid alert in the city of Kyiv”, the event will be suspended, the programme of the event and the schedule of starts will be changed and all participants must strictly comply with the requirements of the Organising Committee representatives, must leave the territory of the event and proceed to the shelters marked on the rout map. After the signal “Air raid alert in the city of Kyiv is over”, the Organising Committee representatives will make a decision on the possibility to continue the event. The decision of the Organising Committee and the updated Programme of the Competition will be announced to the participants within 10 minutes after “Air raid alert” signal is lifted.

In this case the Event will be suspended and the Programme of the Event will be changed. All participants must strictly comply with the requirements of the Organising Committee representatives. The participants must leave the territory of the Event and proceed to the shelters marked on the rout map.
After the “Air raid alert in the city of Kyiv” signal is lifted, Organising Committee representatives will make a decision on the possibility to continue the Event.
The decision of the Organising Committee representatives and the updated Programme of the Event will be announced to the participants within 30 minutes after the signal “Air raid alert in the city of Kyiv is over”.
At the same time, the Contractor’s Services cannot be considered as not provided, provided in poor quality or late and n penalties are imposed on the Contractor due to the above circumstances. The Contractor is not responsible for the termination/cancellation/postponement of the Event.

The Competition route is mapped through Kyiv and VDNH territory.
Track surface: 100% blacktop.
The start and finish lines of all courses are located in the same spot.
Participants can be admitted to the Competition provided proper and timely registration.
Registration is only possible online on the Competition organizers’ website: http://recruit.runukraine.org/
Online registration is open for participants from December 15th, 2024 until June 28, 2025 (if there are free slots).
The Competition Organiser reserves the right to suspend or close registration without warning upon reaching the limit of participants.
A participant is considered registered once the application is filled in and the registration fee is paid.
The registration fee paid by a participant is non-refundable under any circumstances including but not limited to if a participant is unable to participate in the Competition, cannot finish the chosen course, cannot finish the course within the set time limit or if the participants is disqualified or the Competition is cancelled due to the unexpected consequences of COVID-19 pandemic of force majeure circumstances.
A participant’s registration is annulled if the participant provides the wrong information upon registration. If the registration is annulled, the registration fee is not refunded.
A paid registration may not be cancelled. The entry fee may not be refunded.
A participant can receive the starter pack within three days prior to the start by “Nova Poshta” delivery. This service is paid. The participant has to order this service at the registration.
A participant will receive an SMS code from the Organiser to confirm the transfer of the starter pack to another person. If the code matches, the third person may receive the starter pack and must personally hand it over to the participant.
The entry fee for the course “Recruit Honor Race | 10 km” is 1050 UAH.
The entry fee for the course “Recruit Honor Race | 5 km” is 1050 UAH.
The entry fee does not include the bank transfer fee.
The participant of the Competition pay the entry fee using an electronic payment system on the organizer’s website http://runukraine.org
Registration discounts
Registration is free of charge for all military personnel on all courses. The limit of free registration is 50 slots.
A 30% discount on registration is given to all military personnel upon reaching the limit of free registrations.
A 30% discount on registration is given to the following categories of participants:
- Participants in hostilities and war participants.
- Military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Territorial Defense.
- Pensioners (men and women aged 60 and older).
The participant must submit an individual application by writing a letter to registration@runukraine.org indicating “Special category” in the subject line.
When applying, please, provide documents according to your preferential category: a copy of your passport, pension certificate/combatant certificate/certificate of a person with disability.
If it is found that the participant is not eligible for the declared category, the registration is canceled without any compensation from the Competition Organiser side.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO RECEIVE A FREE OR DISCOUNTED STARTER PACK UPON PRESENTATION OF THE ORIGINAL COMBATANT WW2/ATO CERTIFICATE, CERTIFICATE OF A PERSON WITH DISABILITY or PENSION CERTIFICATE.

- race bib number with a participant’s name (for those registered by June 9, 2025
- finisher medal (presented upon the completion of the whole course within the set time limit)
- result-capturing electronic chip
- route map
- changing rooms and luggage storage service
- hydration stations: on the route and at the finish line
- pictures after the race
The starter pack of a participant on the 5 km course includes:
- race bib number with a participant’s name (for those registered by June 9, 2025)
- finisher medal (presented upon the completion of the whole course within the set time limit)
- route map
- changing rooms and luggage storage service
- hydration stations: on the rout and at the finish line
- pictures after the race
The participant must pick up his/her ordered starter pack on the designed distribution date. On the distribution date, the ownership rights for the starter pack are transferred to the participant regardless of his/her presence or absence. In case of no-show, the Organisers take on the responsibility of preserving the goods for one calendar month starting from the date of the race. During this month, the participant can obtain it directly from the Organisers or arrange to have it delivered by the courier service at his/her own expense. After one calendar month from the date of the race is over, the Organisers withdraw any liability for the security of the product and become entitled to dispose of it at any moment.
Participants are to pick up starter packs in person upon presenting the starter letter and ID.
Participants that failed to join the Competition can obtain their starter pack within 30 calendar days after the Competition at the Organiser’s office, having previously sent a notification about their intention to do so by email registration@runukraine.org or by placing the request to have it delivered to a specified address.
Delivery of starter packs is done at the expense of the participant. If possible, the Organiser arranges for partners to provide free delivery.

Hydration stations are located at 2.5km/5 km/7.5 km and at the finish line. Water and medical care is available at the stations.
10 km course:
For the 10 km course, the award is given to those winning places 1 through 3.
The winners and medallists receive commemorative prizes.
5 km course
For the 5 km course is awarded is given to those winning places 1 through 3.

Please, notice:
- Participants who participate in wheelchairs or use other mechanical means during covering the course are not eligible for awards in absolute or age groups on any of the courses.
