On 29 June, the VDNG in Kyiv hosted the Recruit Honor Race 2025, which brought together 2,700 participants from around the world. This event, dedicated to the memory of military journalist Oleksiy ‘Recruit’ Chubashev, united people around the values of honour and remembrance for the fourth time. Thanks to the starting contributions, it was possible to raise 1,944,860 UAH, which is 628,000 more than last year. These funds will be used to purchase unique fibre optic drones for the International Legion of the International Legion DIU MOU, which are extremely valuable on the front lines.
The event had not only a charitable but also a deeply symbolic component: it began with a tribute to the fallen heroes-runners, and military personnel and veterans joined in.
The next event from Run Ukraine – PrivatBank Kyiv Unbroken Marathon 2025 – is scheduled for 11–12 October.
